All you need to know before you schedule a lesson
Right now, I am on vacation but still free from 7 am - 7 pm EST any day of the week.
However, from August (2025) onwards through the school year, I am free from 2 pm - 1 am EST any day of the week. And if you must have an earlier start time, I can normally accommodate up to an hour or two earlier than 2 pm.
I tailor each lesson by first getting to know the student on a personal and academic level—their strengths, weaknesses, goals, current standing in the course, and any outside obligations that may impact study time. From there, I develop a customized study plan aligned with their timeline and performance objectives. I provide access to a curated set of resources from my Google Drive that are specifically designed to boost exam readiness. Based on the student's needs, we focus more heavily on certain areas—for example, if they're strong in writing but struggle with multiple choice, we prioritize MCQ practice and analysis. Conversely, if essay writing is the challenge, we dive deeper into SAQ, LEQ, and DBQ structure and strategy. Each step is adapted to ensure we’re addressing their unique learning gaps and optimizing their strengths.
My teaching method is highly adaptive and student-centered. I begin with a comprehensive diagnostic phase where I assess the student’s current level, goals, and learning style. I then provide targeted resources and build a study plan focused on key exam components. A large part of my approach involves guided practice with SAQs, LEQs, and DBQs—breaking down structure, strategy, and real examples so students understand exactly what’s expected. I also use unit-themed multiple-choice questions to identify and close content gaps. We analyze these MCQs together to uncover patterns in question design and teach strategies for avoiding traps commonly used by the College Board. Throughout our sessions, we cycle between essay writing and MCQ work depending on where the student needs the most support, continually refining our focus based on their progress.
